Bio

Hayyim is descended from a long line of Temple worshippers and guardians of the little-known underwater finfolk of Aurelica, and who has thus inherited the same powerful masteries over water magic as is common to her extended family of pious worshippers. Thus, Hayyim’s life plan had been seemingly predestined until her priesthood faced their most difficult challenge yet.

The re-emergence of the Dark on the Aurelican mainland also brought disastrous repercussions to those under the waves, in particular by strengthening the hand of the Sea Giants, the finfolk’s mortal enemies. Even the Sea Giants might have been defeated easily had not the pirate Borden stolen 3 pearls from the finfolk’s priceless artefact, the Sea Lantern – a talisman of untold power against ocean-bound Dark. The newly-strengthened Sea Giants soon launched a vicious invasion of finfolk territory as news of the fading Lantern’s power spread. With the fate of her people and Temple in the balance, Hayyim took up spear alongside her fellow warriors and fought desperately to save the kingdom.

Sadly the Sea Giants and other Dark-aligned creatures ravaged the finfolk army to the brink of destruction. As the Dark sought to lay hands on the finfolk general, Hayyim felt she had no choice but to resort to a type of forbidden magic and channeled a whirlpool portal to save the general and her immediate entourage by teleportation to parts unknown.

Hayyim awoke from the powerful spell to a wet jungle marshland under the glowing stare of the local creatures – no, local dragons!
