Bio

Biography Variant 1 (ZBT).

Bruszakk began life as a nameless slave in the Arena, beaten daily and with little hope of survival beyond the week. The wild orc honed his combat skills by the blood of other equally oppressed slaves as satisfied the whims of the city’s corrupt nobility. But Bruszakk’s day of vengeance would come eventually. The crafty survivor spied out an opportunity at a combined gladiatorial-banquet event for the nobility at which he discovered his chains had not been properly affixed given the change of site and arena warden. Upon slaying his fellow slaves to the applause of the attendees.

Bruszakk broke free and escaped far from the palatial estate, slaying any guards who attempted to bring him back to captivity. He survived the harsh journey across the wilderness despite his many wounds and arrived safely at Warchief Orakh’s camp. Bruszakk’s skills as a warrior, honed almost since birth in the Arena, mightily impressed the Warchief, who appointed him to a special position in his personal guard.

Biography Variant 2.

Bruszakk has hated humanity almost since his earliest memories, when he witnessed human slavers kill his parents and kidnap his brother Urzag, a fate he only narrowly escaped by his mother’s foresight, who placed him in a pile of odious rubbish too foul for even the human slavers to explore. The helpless baby was quickly taken in and rescued by a camp established by the orcs to look after their brethren who, for reason of their advanced or young age, were unable to protect themselves from the many dangers of the inhospitable Crisas Desert to which once proud orc community have been forced to take refuge after the loss of their ancestral Windtalker Planes. The proud orcs of the rescue camp became Bruszakk’s only connection to the laws and lores of his people, customs, and culture. Bruszakk hung on the camp elder’s every word, particularly lessons on physical exercise and self-defense. The young blood spent long hours honing his martial skills with the fellow refugees and orphans, and each month of dedication saw a continual improvement on Bruszakk’s ultimate quest for revenge against the hated humans and the murderers of his parents.

Years past and Bruszakk soon found himself possessed of a physical mastery of the weapons and techniques of combat that few even of the most experienced orcish warriors possessed, a fact proved by Bruszakk’s winning streak during the encampments’ regular sparring matches. The gifted young warrior soon caught the eye of Warchief of the Horde and sponsor of rescue camps – Warchief Orakh, who is most impressed with Bruszakk’s iron determination, physical skills and their shared hatred of humanity. Orakh decided to take the young warrior orphan under his wings, a rare honor cemented by the additional gift of a priceless suit of obsidian armor ostensibly offered to improve Bruszakk’s only physical shortcoming – his short height. Bruszakk used the armor’s spikes to devastating effect in battle, bowling his enemies over with the shield’s brute force when axe does not suffice, and from which he gained his nickname “Bruszakk the Shield”. Bruszakk has returned his patrons favor with a gracious enthusiasm for all of Warchief Orakh’s designs, and has become one of his most fervent believers in the coming day of glory when the Horde will undo years of humiliation by once again claiming their ancestral lands, and is more than willing to die in battle to achieve this dream.
